Taste
Dense, rich and voluptuous on the bouquet. As it names suggests, the nobility of
this wine is experienced from the very first sip to the long, lingering, and velvety finish.
Tempranillo grapes used in this wine come from a selection of the best cluster from Torrosillo vineyard older than 75 years with loamy clay with marls soil. Yield 1Kg/bush vine. Elevation 840 meters. After being hand-harvested and undergoing cluster selection in the vineyards, the grapes are destemmed and go through gravity-controlled tank of 7,500 L, with two days of cold-skin maceration prior to fermentation. An additional two months of maturation follow, with malolactic fermentation in barrels taking place. Egg white clarification. The wine is aged for a maximum of twenty-one months in new French barrels. It is then aged an additional two years in bottle before leaving the cellar.
The 2014 harvest was characterized by a high yield production. The climatology conditions were very good along the cycle, very healthy vintage and especially along September. The early harvesting September 26th-October 3rd gave to the wines powerful fruit aromas, sweet tannins, intense colour and adequate acidity for aging into barrels accompanied by a proper degree of alcohol.
This wine is ideally served at temperature 16ºC (61ºF) to accompany steak, venison and other hearty fare such as stews and roast, as hard cheeses as well.
We suggest decanting.
Recomended consumption time from now until 2033.
